As a Frontend Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and building high-quality, scalable, and performant user interfaces that directly impact the experience of thousands of users. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including backend engineers, product managers, and UI/UX designers to deliver cohesive, intuitive, and accessible applications. The role emphasizes both technical execution and continuous improvement, providing opportunities to influence frontend architecture, optimize performance, and advocate for best practices. This is a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your contributions enhance usability, drive engagement, and support innovative local media solutions at scale. Accountabilities

  • Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance frontend applications
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices
  • Collaborate closely with backend engineers, UI/UX designers, and product managers to build cohesive and user-friendly applications
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, maintainability, and adherence to team standards
  • Optimize frontend performance for fast and responsive experiences across devices and browsers
  • Implement modern UI/UX best practices to enhance usability and accessibility
  • Contribute to the evolution of frontend architecture, tooling, and development processes
  • Troubleshoot and debug frontend issues, proactively addressing technical debt and improving system reliability
  • Stay current with emerging frontend technologies and advocate for improvements where appropriate

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Proven experience in frontend software engineering, delivering production-ready applications
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React
  • Familiarity with frontend build tools, package managers, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills for complex frontend issues
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills across engineering, product, and design teams
  • Passion for building intuitive, high-quality user interfaces and continuously improving frontend performance
  • Nice to Have: TypeScript experience, frontend testing frameworks (e.g., Playwright), familiarity with REST APIs, and exposure to design systems or component-based architecture
