Job Summary

The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for transforming business data into meaningful insights that support informed decision-making across the organization. This role focuses on developing, maintaining, and enhancing Power BI dashboards and reports, ensuring data accuracy, and identifying trends, opportunities, and performance drivers. The Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand reporting needs, improve data quality, and deliver actionable analytics. The Business Intelligence Analyst leverages AI-powered tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, and other emerging technologies to streamline reporting processes, improve data interpretation, and make complex information easier for stakeholders to understand.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for sales, customer, product, and market performance.
• Use Power Query and basic DAX to organize data, create measures, and support reporting needs.
• Work with business teams to understand reporting needs and turn questions into clear dashboards and analysis.
• Use Claude, ChatGPT, and similar AI tools to help summarize results, identify trends, explain performance changes, and improve reporting workflows.
• Review data for accuracy and help resolve reporting or data-quality issues.
• Analyze business results to identify trends, opportunities, and areas that may need attention.
• Help automate recurring reports and reduce manual reporting work.
• Support documentation, training, and adoption of Power BI and AI-enabled reporting tools.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and IT on reporting and analytics projects.
  
  

Required Skills/Experience

• 1- 3 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, reporting, or a related field. Relevant internship, academic, or project experience may be considered.
• Experience developing dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI, including basic data modeling.
• Working knowledge of Power Query and DAX, with a strong desire to continue building technical and analytical capabilities.
• Experience leveraging AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar platforms to support data analysis, reporting, research, and process improvement.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SQL is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with commitment to data accuracy, integrity, and quality.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Highly organized, inquisitive, and adaptable, with the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to effectively partner across departments and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  
  

Required Education

• Bachelor's degree in business Analytics, Data Analytics, Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education, professional training, certifications, and relevant work experience will also be considered.
  
  

Travel Requirements

• Limited Travel (Up to 10%). Occasional travel is required for meetings, training, conferences, customer visits, or special projects. Travel is infrequent and typically planned in advance.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• This position primarily operates in an office and business systems environment, requiring extended periods of sitting, computer use, and frequent operation of standard office equipment.
• The role may occasionally require standing, walking through warehouse and distribution facilities, and navigating operational work areas.
• Must be able to occasionally lift, carry, push, or move materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Requires strong visual acuity and attention to detail for reviewing reports, analyzing data, and working across multiple systems and applications.
• Ability to maintain focus and productivity while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  
  

Work Schedule (Exempt)

This is a full-time, exempt position. The role requires flexibility to work the hours necessary to meet business needs, which may include extended hours, weekends, and holidays. Work schedules and expectations may be adjusted based on operational priorities and organizational demands.
