Insprove is a Brisbane-based consultancy specialising in government digital transformation program delivery. We work with QLD and Commonwealth agencies to deliver complex transformation, legacy system replacement, and digital uplift programs.
The role:
Insprove is looking for a skilled Information/Data Architect to support a federal government agency's intranet modernisation program.
This is a contract starting 1 October 2026, initially through to 31 January 2027, with extension options up to 24 months. The agency prefers Canberra but will consider candidates in any Australian location, including hybrid and fully remote arrangements.
You'll define and implement the data architecture for the agency's intranet platform (SharePoint Online), ensuring data is structured, integrated, governed, and accessible. This includes designing data models, defining governance frameworks, and aligning architecture to enterprise standards, security requirements, and compliance obligations. You'll work alongside business analysts, developers, and solution architects within a broader corporate systems modernisation program.
What we need:
• Active Baseline security clearance (or higher) with willingness to undergo NV1 vetting
• Proven experience as a Data or Information Architect on large-scale application development or transformation programs
• Strong proficiency in data modelling across conceptual, logical, and physical levels
• Familiarity with data governance, master data management, metadata, and data lineage principles
• Knowledge of identity management, privacy considerations, and data security practices
• Experience working in Agile project environments
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Highly regarded:
• Experience with SharePoint Online
• Certification in cloud architecture or data engineering (e.g. Azure Data Engineer Associate)
• Experience in government or complex enterprise environments
• Experience working within multidisciplinary product teams
Location: Canberra preferred, but all Australian locations considered including remote
