We're seeking a back-end focused software engineer with experience building scalable applications and services in modern development environments. This individual should have a strong foundation in application architecture, API development, and deploying software within containerized environments. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex technical challenges, collaborating across teams, and delivering secure, maintainable solutions. This is a fully remote, direct hire opportunity.
Required Experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (will start without and not guaranteed that will be processed for one)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and deploying enterprise software applications
- Strong experience building and maintaining back-end services and APIs
- Hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript in production environments
- Experience working with server-side API frameworks and service-oriented architectures
- Understanding of software design best practices, object-oriented principles, and maintainable code patterns
- Experience working within Agile development environments
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Technical Background
- Experience developing and supporting microservices-based applications
- Hands-on experience with container technologies and orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, or similar)
- Familiarity with cloud-hosted or cloud-ready applications
- Experience working with relational databases, data pipelines, ETL processes, or large-scale data environments
- Exposure to event-driven or streaming architectures
- Understanding of secure software development and application security practices
- Experience integrating with enterprise business platforms or third-party SaaS applications
