The Data Insights Analyst will support the collection, organization, analysis, and interpretation of business data to help teams make informed decisions and identify opportunities for improvement. This role focuses on transforming structured and unstructured data into clear insights, reports, dashboards, and recommendations that support business performance and operational objectives.
Key responsibilities include collecting data from internal systems, spreadsheets, databases, and other approved sources; reviewing datasets for accuracy and completeness; organizing information into structured formats; and performing basic data analysis to identify trends, patterns, relationships, and potential areas of concern.
The role will assist in preparing recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, summaries, and presentations for internal stakeholders. Responsibilities may include tracking key performance indicators, comparing business results across different periods, identifying changes in performance, and presenting findings in a clear and understandable format.
The Data Insights Analyst will work with relevant teams to understand reporting requirements and translate business questions into practical analytical outputs. The position may also support data validation, reporting automation, dashboard maintenance, data visualization, and the improvement of existing reporting processes.
Additional responsibilities include documenting analytical processes, maintaining reporting files, checking data consistency, supporting data quality initiatives, and helping standardize reporting procedures. The role may involve working with large datasets and using analytical tools to organize and interpret information efficiently.
The successful candidate should be curious, detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working with numbers and business information. Strong communication skills are important, as the role requires presenting analytical findings in a way that can be easily understood by both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of basic data analysis principles and analytical thinking.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or similar spreadsheet applications.
- Understanding of formulas, functions, pivot tables, data filtering, sorting, and basic data validation.
- Familiarity with data visualization concepts and tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, or equivalent platforms.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.
- Familiarity with Python, R, or another analytical programming language is advantageous.
- Ability to identify patterns, trends, inconsistencies, and relationships within datasets.
- Strong attention to detail when reviewing, cleaning, organizing, and validating data.
- Ability to prepare clear reports, dashboards, charts, and analytical summaries.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain data findings clearly.
- Ability to translate business questions into structured analytical tasks and meaningful insights.
