About Us. Impactual LLC is a woman-owned, full-service consulting firm dedicated to creating measurable social change. We help causes, philanthropists, change-makers, and brands address some of the most pressing political and social challenges of our time. You can learn more about our clients and projects on our website: impactual.com. About This Position. Impactual seeks an enthusiastic self-starter who has a passion for politics, pop culture, and project management. At Impactual, everyone contributes meaningfully to solving some of the biggest social issues of today. This is an entry-level position for someone who wants to work in a collaborative, all-hands-on-deck team environment and believes no task is too small for their role. We are a small firm with an all-hands-on-deck mentality; no task is too small for any member of our team and responsibilities may evolve as client needs do. That said, key responsibilities of Associates at Impactual include:

  • Special Projects. Impactual is a small firm and we're an all-hands-on-deck team. In a rapidly changing environment, Associates may take on special projects, especially around event production. This role will be responsible for other duties as assigned.

RequirementsThe Ideal Candidate. The right mindset is just as important as your experience. We are looking for individuals who can embody and apply the following skills and values:

  • Highly Organized and Detail-Oriented. Achieves 100% follow-through, carefully tracking and prioritizing projects and tasks big and small, urgent or slow burning, whether for both self and team; even with dozens of moving pieces and incoming communications, streamlines into a single plan or system and organizes information for team members' easy reference; and anticipates needs before they arise and attends to small details as appropriate. This role will include a significant amount of tracking, organizing, and logistical management.
  • Effective and Efficient Communication. Communicates clearly in writing/verbally after gathering and synthesizing information; proactively asks questions to get more information and provides appropriate context when sharing information; is an approachable, active listener who inspires trust and confidence from others.
  • Passion for Making Positive Social Change. Has a positive attitude and is excited to be in a fast-paced environment; demonstrates a passion for and knowledge of politics or social causes; keeps up with current affairs and pop culture - from social media trends to celebrity news
  • Commitment to Impactual's Values. Demonstrates commitment to protecting and strengthening our democracy; is willing to work with allies across the political spectrum in service of protecting our democracy; values impact over intent, collaborates respectfully, and fosters a respectful, accessible work environment; is committed to learning and growing and honest evaluation of our efforts; and enthusiastically offers and accepts support from colleagues, engages productively with feedback, and can be flexible as priorities shift

BenefitsCompensation and Benefits. The salary for this full-time, exempt position is $50,000-75,000, depending on experience level. Benefits include:

Remote Work Environment. Impactual is a fully remote team. All team members must be located within the continental United States and be active and available to work by 10am ET, regardless of where they live and work. Team members can expect to travel for work approximately 3-5 times per year (subject to change based on client assignments). Transparent Hiring Process. To ensure an equitable hiring process, Impactual team members do not meet with applicants outside of our formal interview process. Qualified applicants will be asked to participate in an initial 15-minute phone conversation and, if selected, a subsequent 30-minute video interview. Finalists will be asked to complete a 90-minute written simulation and 45-minute video call with numerous members of the team (at which stage we encourage extensive questions about team member's experience with the firm). We aim to move efficiently and remain highly communicative throughout this process, with a goal of extending a formal offer by August 15-30 depending on the volume of applications we receive. We welcome feedback on our process at any time. Equal Opportunity and Inclusive Employer. Impactual aims to be a responsible and supportive employer and cultivate a positive, safe, and inclusive work environment. Our firm encourages you to apply even if you do not meet all of the requirements. Impactual is an equal opportunity employer committed to a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace.
