Hyra is working on behalf of Client Server to hire for the position of Junior Backend Software Engineer Rust - Trading. This role involves developing high-performance backend systems for a profitable High Frequency Trading firm specializing in crypto markets. You will work on low-latency trading infrastructure within a highly technical engineering team.
What you'll be doing
• Developing and maintaining high-frequency trading systems using Rust
• Optimizing backend services for low-latency performance in crypto markets
• Collaborating with senior engineers to design scalable distributed systems
• Implementing robust code to handle complex financial data streams
• Participating in the full software development lifecycle from design to deployment
What we're looking for
• Strong academic background with a first-class degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Practical experience or strong academic projects using Rust for backend development
• Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms and data structures
• Interest in high-frequency trading and financial market dynamics
• Must have the right to work in the UK and be eligible for security vetting if required
