Group Deputy Company SecretaryUK Based | Remote-first (occasional attendance at Bath site)Salary: £70,000

A growing UK financial services group is looking to appoint a Group Deputy Company Secretary to support governance and company secretarial activities across a multi-entity regulated business.

The role sits within the legal and governance function and will work closely with senior leadership, supporting both FCA-regulated and non-regulated entities across the group.

This is a broad, hands-on opportunity offering exposure to board and committee support, governance projects, regulatory matters and wider strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting governance and company secretarial requirements across multiple UK entities
  • Organising and attending Board and Committee meetings
  • Preparing agendas, board packs, minutes and action logs
  • Managing Companies House filings, statutory registers and governance records
  • Supporting FCA-related governance processes including SMCR administration
  • Assisting with governance frameworks, policies and regulatory documentation
  • Supporting wider legal and governance projects including restructurings and process improvements
  • Liaising with senior stakeholders, external advisers and regulators

The business is looking to speak with candidates who have:

  • Prior company secretarial or governance experience within the UK
  • Exposure to FCA-regulated environments
  • Strong minute taking and organisational skills
  • Experience supporting Boards and Committees
  • Excellent attention to detail and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working across multi-entity group structures

CGI/ICSA qualifications or studies would be beneficial but are not essential.

This would suit someone looking for a broad governance role within a collaborative and growing financial services environment, with strong visibility across the business and genuine scope to develop further.
