Learning Designer, 2 Hour Learning (Remote) - $100,000/year USD
Job Description
Posted on: May 13, 2026
Do you possess the ability to identify fine distinctions in a Shakespearean sonnet while also deconstructing the phonetic makeup of a word? Picture applying that linguistic and literary knowledge alongside advanced AI to reshape the way millions of students learn language and literature. At 2 Hour Learning, we're not simply writing the future of English education—we're designing it as an immersive, adaptive journey. We're looking for a forward-thinking professional to spearhead our effort to revolutionize English and Language Arts education through sophisticated data analysis, groundbreaking AI integration, and comprehensive subject matter knowledge. Your objective? To double the rate at which students acquire language concepts and literary analysis skills, spanning from foundational phonics to sophisticated literary criticism. At 2 Hour Learning, we're reshaping K-12 education with measurable outcomes. Our AI-powered learning ecosystem is changing how students engage with content, allowing them to master subjects at double the pace of conventional schooling. We're not adjusting the system; we're reconstructing it entirely, and we have the evidence to validate its effectiveness. Students on our platform regularly score 4s and 5s on five or more AP exams, exhibit growth exceeding two years on annual MAP assessments, and exceed their own expectations of achievement. If you're prepared to apply profound ELA expertise within an AI system that's already delivering proven results, apply now. What You Will Be Doing
- Examine student reading and writing performance metrics — including Reel engagement data, MAP scores, and assessment outcomes — leveraging AI workflows and LLM orchestrations to pinpoint learning gaps and create targeted interventions. (This represents approximately 40% of your time.)
- Building AI-driven tools that adjust to individual learning preferences, rendering grammar intuitive, vocabulary acquisition engaging, and literary analysis attainable for students across all proficiency levels.
- Creating dynamic learning sequences that adapt in real-time, shepherding students from phonics through analyzing complex texts, ensuring each learner advances at an ideal rate.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, assessment specialists, and AI engineers to ensure content alignment with curriculum standards and verify the accuracy of AI-generated materials.
- Converting classic and contemporary literature into interactive, AI-enhanced learning experiences that both educate students and spark their enthusiasm for reading and writing.
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Overseeing traditional English curricula or performing administrative duties—this position centers on innovation and strategic enhancement of how language arts are delivered and learned within our accelerated framework.
- Manually grading large volumes of essays — AI manages the assessment workload so you can concentrate on refining the system, not scoring papers.
- Teaching toward standardized tests — students here already exceed AP benchmarks, so your efforts are directed toward enhancing mastery, not rehearsing for compliance.

- 3+ years of experience teaching English/Language Arts or developing ELA curriculum, with demonstrable impact on learning outcomes
- Formal coursework in learning sciences, or 2+ years applying learning science principles in educational product or content development.
