Position: History PhD Expert

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $60–$75 per hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10–25 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Author historically accurate prompts spanning global, regional, and thematic history topics
• Review and revise AI-generated responses for factual correctness, nuance, and historiographic soundness
• Write expert-level “gold” responses for complex or ambiguous historical questions
• Create controlled prompt variations that test differences in scope, framing, and interpretation
• Evaluate model outputs across varying lengths, styles, and instructional constraints
• Surface edge cases where models struggle with chronology, causality, or historical interpretation

Requirements

• PhD in History or a closely related field
• English Speaker
• Demonstrated experience with archival research, historiography, or academic writing
• Strong command of historical methodology and source evaluation
• Excellent written communication and attention to factual precision
• Ability to work independently and make careful, well-reasoned editorial judgments
