Chemistry Professor | $80/hr Remote

Position: Chemistry Expert (PhD, Master’s, or Olympiad Participants)

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $60–$80 per hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 2 months (with extension potential)

Role Responsibilities

• Create novel, clear, and challenging Olympiad-style chemistry problems designed to advance frontier chemistry problem-solving
• Develop problems that expose failure modes in frontier AI models to improve reasoning and robustness
• Produce well-structured, rigorous solutions and explanations suitable for AI training
• Contribute domain expertise to support safe and high-quality model development

Requirements

• PhD or Master’s degree in chemistry or a related field, or experience participating in the International Chemistry Olympiad or equivalent competitions (AsChO, EChO, EUSO, IJSO, NChO, UKChO, USNCO, CCO, INChO, RChO, MChO)
• Deep understanding of theoretical and experimental chemistry
• Strong written reasoning skills
• Rigorous attention to detail
