Role Description The Vice President of Investment is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading the investment function and shaping the overall investment strategy for the marketplace. This role involves identifying and evaluating investment opportunities, overseeing due diligence processes, and developing structured investment solutions that align with CredWault’s focus on export finance and trade risk mitigation. The Vice President will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to optimize the lender portfolio, enhance risk-adjusted returns, and support product development initiatives related to cross-border financing. Day-to-day activities include monitoring market trends, supervising investment analysis, refining investment policies, and presenting recommendations and performance reports to senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Investment Management and Investments, with a proven track record in leading investment portfolios or platforms.
- Solid foundation in Finance, including financial modeling, risk assessment, and understanding of cross-border or trade finance products.
- Demonstrated experience in Due Diligence, including qualitative and quantitative analysis of counterparties, transactions, and markets.
- Ability to design and implement effective Investment Strategies aligned with organizational goals and risk appetite.
- Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field is preferred; professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CA, MBA) are an advantage.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and data-driven thinking.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote and cross-functional environment.
- Experience in trade finance, export credit, or marketplace-based financial services is highly desirable.
