Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Retirement Loans & Distributions Specialist to support participants with retirement plan transactions. This role is responsible for processing loans, withdrawals, rollovers, and distributions while ensuring compliance with plan provisions, IRS regulations, and company policies. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Process retirement plan loan requests, hardship withdrawals, in-service distributions, and rollover transactions.
- Review participant documentation for completeness and compliance with plan guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Respond to participant, employer, and advisor inquiries regarding loan and distribution options, processing requirements, and transaction status.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation within internal systems.
- Ensure transactions are completed within established service-level agreements and quality standards.
- Research and resolve participant issues, discrepancies, and escalated cases.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure efficient processing and issue resolution.
- Stay current on retirement plan regulations, policies, and industry best practices.
- Assist with audits, reporting, and special projects as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in retirement services, financial services, benefits administration, or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of 401(k), 403(b), or other qualified retirement plans is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
