Position Overview:
We are seeking motivated healthcare professionals to join our expanding authorised prescriber network. As an Authorised Prescriber, you will assess, consult, and prescribe medicinal cannabis (Category 1-5 products) and/or nicotine replacement therapies to patients in need of alternative treatments. This role is ideal for healthcare professionals passionate about integrative medicine and improving patient outcomes through telehealth services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide thorough patient consultations and assessments via telehealth
- Prescribe medicinal cannabis products (Category 1-5) and nicotine replacement therapies in accordance with therapeutic needs.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
- Collaborate with patients to develop tailored treatment plans and follow up on patient progress regularly.
- Participate in continuous professional development and stay updated on the latest telehealth regulations and best practices.
Requirements:
- Registered with AHPRA as a medical practitioner with the relevant authorisations to prescribe medicinal cannabis and nicotine replacement therapies.
- At least 1 year of clinical experience, with a preference for experience in integrative or alternative medicine.
- Demonstrated ability to provide care via telehealth platforms, with adequate technical skills for remote consultations.
- Professional indemnity insurance of at least $10 million.
- Excellent communication and record-keeping skills to ensure quality care and compliance.
- A commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and ethical prescribing practices.
- Adhere to the Medical Board of Australia’s code of conduct and GreenHeart-Medical’s operational standards.
- Comply with the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law and relevant state and territory legislation.
- Disclose any financial relationships with product manufacturers to ensure transparency.
