Contract End Date - 03/31/2027
100% Remote Position
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Project Manager who thrives in complex, cross-functional environments and is passionate about turning strategy into execution.
This role extends far beyond managing timelines and project status updates. The ideal candidate will create clarity, build alignment across teams, and drive successful delivery of critical Product Development initiatives. They will partner closely with Product, Engineering, UX, Architecture, QA, Operations, and business stakeholders to ensure the right work is delivered at the right time while effectively managing risks, dependencies, and organizational change.
Successful Project Managers are curious, organized, collaborative, and comfortable navigating ambiguity. They ask thoughtful questions, connect day-to-day execution to business outcomes, and help teams deliver with confidence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Cross-Functional Delivery
- Own the planning and execution of medium-to-large cross-functional initiatives.
- Develop integrated project plans that align teams around shared business objectives.
- Coordinate efforts across Product, Engineering, UX, Architecture, QA, Operations, and other key stakeholders.
- Ensure projects achieve intended business outcomes, not just task completion.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects with defined timelines and deliverables.
- Typically support 1-2 Agile delivery teams.
Drive Planning and Execution
- Translate strategic priorities into actionable project plans.
- Establish and maintain project schedules, milestones, timelines, dependencies, and success metrics.
- Monitor project health and proactively resolve issues before they impact delivery.
- Identify, remove, and escalate obstacles to maintain progress.
- Ensure alignment between execution activities and business objectives.
- Drive initiatives from inception through successful completion.
Build Alignment and Stakeholder Engagement
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Lead project meetings, planning sessions, and decision-making discussions.
- Surface trade-offs, risks, and recommendations to support informed decision-making.
- Foster collaboration, accountability, and transparency across multiple teams.
- Build strong relationships with business leaders, product teams, and engineering teams.
- Effectively influence stakeholders and drive alignment across competing priorities.
Manage Risk and Organizational Change
- Identify and manage project risks, assumptions, dependencies, and constraints.
- Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
- Escalate critical issues appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Coordinate organizational readiness activities for major product releases and initiatives.
- Strengthen team operating rhythms, including planning ceremonies, retrospectives, status reporting, and governance processes.
- Help teams become more predictable, efficient, and adaptable in dynamic environments.
Improve Delivery Excellence
- Promote consistent project management practices across initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve planning, communication, execution, and delivery processes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of PMO standards, templates, governance models, and operating frameworks.
- Support a culture of accountability, transparency, continuous learning, and operational excellence.
- Create processes and governance structures where needed to improve project outcomes.

- Strong foundation in:
- Project planning and scheduling
- Scope management
- Risk management

- Stakeholder communication
- Demonstrated ability to bring structure and clarity to ambiguous situations.
- Strong facilitation, relationship-building, and leadership skills.

- Ability to partner effectively with engineering teams and understand technical concepts sufficiently to manage delivery and dependencies.
- Experience managing multiple priorities and concurrent initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management and influence skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
Note: Real-world experience and demonstrated success are valued more highly than certifications or academic credentials.
