We are partnering with a fast-growing international professional services organisation operating within a highly complex, multi-currency environment to appoint an experienced and commercially minded Head of Finance.

This is a pivotal leadership role within a scaling organisation, offering the opportunity to lead, shape, and transform the finance function during a significant period of growth and operational evolution.

The business operates within a complex service-led model across multiple jurisdictions, requiring a finance leader who can combine strong technical accounting expertise with commercial acumen, operational oversight, and strategic leadership.

This role will suit an ambitious finance professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys building high-performing teams, improving processes, and partnering closely with senior stakeholders to drive business performance.

The Role

Reporting into senior leadership, the Head of Finance will take full ownership of the finance function across reporting, commercial finance, and transactional finance.

You will play a key role in strengthening controls, improving reporting quality, driving automation, and delivering meaningful financial insight to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the finance function across reporting, commercial, and transactional finance
• Deliver accurate and credible board and management reporting
• Oversee the month-end close process and ensure robust financial controls
• Drive improvements across finance systems, automation, and reporting processes
• Act as the senior finance partner to leadership teams and key stakeholders
• Lead on technical accounting matters including revenue recognition, FX, consolidations, and multi-entity reporting
• Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing finance team
• Support finance transformation initiatives and process redesign projects
• Manage the finance cost base and support scalable growth planning
• Embed a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and commercial focus across the function

About You

We are looking for a commercially focused finance leader who combines strong technical capability with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset.

You will have experience within:

• Staffing or recruitment
• Professional services
• EOR / workforce solutions
• Complex time billing environments

Requirements

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
• Significant experience in a senior finance leadership role
• Strong technical accounting expertise within complex transactional environments
• Proven experience managing multi-currency reporting and consolidations
• Demonstrable success leading teams through change and transformation
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
• Experience improving finance systems, controls, and automation processes
• Hands-on approach with the ability to operate strategically and operationally when required
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
