This consultancy aims to create a strategic advocacy tool that will inspire and support collective, gender-transformative advocacy worldwide. The Playbook will serve as a guide for stakeholders at all levels to take actionable steps towards ending child marriage.
Background and Purpose
Child, early, and forced marriage and unions (CEFMU) remain a pressing issue, especially in low- and middle-income countries. The Playbook seeks to address the lack of a coordinated framework by:
- Synthesizing effective strategies to end CEFMU.
- Showcasing real-world case studies from diverse contexts.
- Providing a shared narrative and action guide for various stakeholders.
Scope of Work
The consultant(s) will:
- Collaborate with the Girls Not Brides Secretariat to design the Playbook.
- Review existing documents and conduct key informant interviews.
- Produce draft and final versions of the Playbook and a visual summary.
- Incorporate gender-transformative perspectives throughout the development process.
Consultant Profile
Ideal candidates will have:
- Exceptional writing and editing skills.
- Experience in developing advocacy tools or policy briefs.
- A strong background in feminist research methods and child marriage evidence.
- Fluency in English, with Spanish or French as an asset.
