Backend API Developer

Skillsearch is partnering with an ambitious start-up currently developing an open-world MMO in Unreal Engine 5. We’re seeking a Backend API Developer to join their expanding team of over 50 professionals. Are you detail-oriented and passionate about tackling technical challenges? The role:

🎯Develop and implement scalable, secure, and reliable backend APIs to support internal web and desktop applications, as well as the game.

🎯Collaborate closely with front-end React developers to ensure seamless API integration.

🎯Maintain robust data security and privacy protocols.

🎯Utilize Git for code management and version control across multiple projects.

🎯Optimize APIs for performance, ensuring a smooth user experience.

🎯Manage PostgreSQL databases, including backups and data recovery.

🎯Leverage tools such as CircleCI, NuGet, Terraform, and Docker to streamline automation, configuration, and deployment processes.

Required skills & experience:

🎯3+ years experience designing and implementing scalable, secure, and reliable backend APIs using .Net C#.

🎯3+ years experience with Database administration.

🎯Familiarity with Git, CircleCI, Nuget, Terraform, Docker, and other related tools.

🎯Strong collaboration skills, ability to work with front end React developers, and other cross-functional teams to achieve overall project goals.

🎯Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

This position is open to candidates based in Canada, Europe & the US with the option to work remotely.
