The Role

To support our growth, we’re now looking for a talented Financial Analyst / Modeller to join us. This highly commercial and strategic role will suit someone who loves interpreting data. creating insightful and often complex financial models and analysis, and is a true expert on Excel. You’ll provide key decision support for major projects and plans, working cross-team, including collaboration with Sales, Finance and supporting the Executive Team.

You should have Advanced Excel and modelling skills, ideally gained within Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Transaction Services, Decision Support or M&A.

ResponsibilitiesYou will: 

• Analyse and interpret data, prepare and develop various financial models to analyse and assess scenarios, and provide insights that then feed into business plans. 
• Support the investment decisions for natural capital projects.
• Analyse potential opportunities and risks and provide associated insights to deliver our strategic objectives.
• Provide decision support and analysis for any strategic or special projects, as and when required.  
• Assist non-financial stakeholders in understanding financial data and making decisions based on your findings.
• Drive decisions linked to sales activity and planning, building models that analyse pricing and margins.

Role Requirements:

• Ideally you’ll have at least 1-3 years of post-graduation work experience or 3-5 years post-school experience.  
• You will have built and developed complex financial models in corporate finance, investment banking. accountancy practice (Transaction Services or similar), another decision support role or related fields.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, with knowledge of advanced formulas, macros, and pivot tables. 
• Strong IT proficiency and ideally experience in other financial modelling tools.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• You may be CFA qualified, or similar. 
• Effective communication and team collaboration skills.
• Proven capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• A proactive, curious nature and a keen eye for detail.  
• A hands-on approach, you’ll be willing to roll your sleeves up when required.  
• You’ll demonstrate a keen interest in the environmental or natural capital industries.
