About the role

The Group Financial Analyst will be pivotal in delivering precise, insightful, and actionable financial information to guide strategic decisions and enhance financial performance across the business. This position focuses on consolidating group-level reporting and ensuring compliance with internal and external reporting standards.

Key responsibilities include preparing and reviewing consolidated financial information reports, developing tailored insights for the board and senior management, and driving improvements in financial reporting processes and technologies.

This role is integral to the business’s succession planning strategy, developing skills and expertise to contribute to the future growth and sustainability of the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver accurate and timely consolidated financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual figures, for senior management and the FRW Board.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and dashboards to present key metrics such as revenue growth, cost efficiency and profitability.
  • Provide variance analysis against budgets and forecasts, delivering actionable insights to drive performance improvements.
  • Support the preparation of board pack commentary, ensuring clarity and relevance of financial data.
  • Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Oversee and consolidate financial forecasts, ensuring regular updates and submission for board reporting.
  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts, including UK accruals, prepayment schedules, and fixed asset registers.
  • Support with the preparation of financial statements in compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Support annual audit processes for the Group to ensure smooth and efficient completion.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to financial reporting and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to the Group's internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Champion the adoption of financial technologies to enhance reporting and analysis capabilities.
  • Streamline financial reporting processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Group Finance Director to align financial practices and policies with group priorities.
  • Actively contribute to succession planning within the Finance team.

Skills + Experience

  • Part-qualified/newly accountant or actively studying towards a professional qualification (CIMA or ACCA).
  • Proven track record of success in financial reporting roles, with experience in group-level reporting.
  • Ability to support cross-functional teams through actionable financial insights and guidance.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, focusing on delivering actionable insights.
  • Expertise in Excel, including complex formulas, data modelling, and analysis tools.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably SAP B1) and reporting tools; familiarity with reporting and business intelligence tools (e.g. PowerBI and Tableau).
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
  • Highly organised and detail-orientated, with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Proactive and resourceful, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Collaborative team player, willing to take a hands-on approach to support colleagues and business needs.
  • Commitment to professional growth and continuous learning.
  • Fluency in English and Italian are essential
