Director of Talent Development -UK or Ireland

The Director of Talent Development plays a critical role in developing and implementing talent development strategies and frameworks to cultivate a diverse, skilled and engaged workforce in alignment with business goals and objectives.

The role is responsible for developing and executing the Talent Roadmap, retaining talent at all stages of an individual’s career, the on-boarding and off-boarding processes, as well as creating a positive and engaging work culture. The role requires a deep understanding of talent development strategy and the capability to implement best practice, providing hands-on support and coaching, and delivering impactful leadership development programs.

Key Role Accountabilities:

  • Partner with HR team and Senior leaders to align talent development strategies with business objectives and drive organisational change and transformation.
  • Shape and regularly enhance talent management processes for best employee experience, looking at strategic and tactical improvements.
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive talent development framework including performance management, employee development, succession planning and career pathways and mandatory training.
  • Design and deliver bespoke leadership development programs, workshops, and coaching sessions to enhance key leadership skills.
  • Develop Blancco’s learning strategy that addresses current and future organisational needs.
  • Drive the development and execution of employee training and development programs to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and performance.
  • Implement succession planning initiatives to build a pipeline of skilled leaders for critical roles within the organisation.
  • Collaborate with leaders, managers and the HR team to identify high-potential employees and create development plans to accelerate their growth and advance their careers.
  • Ensure solutions embrace diversity and inclusion initiatives to foster a diverse workforce and promote and inclusive culture.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the organisation.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practice in talent management and make recommendations for continuous improvement to drive organisational performance.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • CIPD qualified or equivalent
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing global talent development strategies and initiatives.
  • Experience in designing and delivering bespoke global training
  • Ability to analyze data and metrics to measure program effectiveness and make data driven decision.
  • Previous experience of working with senior leaders to drive talent development initiatives
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present across various forums and to a diverse audience.
  • Demonstrated experience in promoting diversity and inclusion within development strategies.
  • Experience of implementing frameworks, process, and system implementation
  • Experience working in a fast paced, dynamic environment where change is constant.
  • A coaching qualification is desirable but not essential.
