About The Role We are seeking a talented and experienced backend developer to join Earnly Limited’s dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the core infrastructure that powers our platform. Your expertise will be instrumental in creating secure, scalable APIs, data processing pipelines, and integrating with third-party services such as Stripe, PayPal, and Open Banking providers. This position offers a unique chance to work on cutting-edge financial technology, shaping the future of our platform from the ground up. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, product managers, and executive leadership, to deliver innovative solutions that meet the needs of our users and stakeholders. Qualifications To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a minimum of three years of backend development experience, preferably within a startup or SaaS environment. Proficiency in .Net, Core 8, Razor Pages, and Bootstrap 5 for UI development is essential. Candidates should have substantial experience working with databases such as MongoDB and SQL Server, including schema design, indexing, and performance optimization. Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Azure, is required, along with experience in containerization tools like Docker and deployment pipelines. A strong understanding of API design, versioning, and security protocols such as OAuth, JWT, and API tokens is crucial. Additionally, candidates should be comfortable working with Git, agile methodologies, and CI/CD practices. Knowledge of data protection regulations like GDPR and fintech security standards is also important. Responsibilities

• Build and maintain robust RESTful APIs to support mobile and web applications, ensuring high performance and security.
• Design, develop, and manage databases built in MongoDB and SQL Server, optimizing for query efficiency and data integrity.
• Create and maintain data ingestion pipelines capable of processing real-time and batch data from external sources and services.
• Optimize backend performance, scalability, and resilience to ensure a seamless user experience under varying loads.
• Develop secure authentication and authorization mechanisms following fintech best practices to protect sensitive user data.
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with frontend and mobile engineers, product managers, and stakeholders within an agile development framework.
• Contribute to infrastructure decisions, including containerization, cloud deployment, and orchestration strategies to support platform growth.
